Since 1984, Scribbles Preschool has been a cherished part of the Mountain Lakes community, nurturing young minds through education and imagination. We believe that every child is filled with limitless potential—future engineers, artists, educators, entrepreneurs, and community leaders. Today, they are curious explorers, learning through every moment, interaction, and experience. At Scribbles, we embrace the joy of seeing the world through their eyes. Our classrooms are built around a child’s perspective, where learning is inspired by their own experiences and interests. With a multi-dimensional approach to teaching, we celebrate each child’s unique learning style, ensuring that every little learner is seen, heard, and supported.
Our Curriculum
At Scribbles Preschool, learning is always wrapped in fun! While our children are busy singing songs, playing with friends, creating art, exploring the world around them, and staying active, they’re also achieving important developmental milestones. Guided by our dedicated and experienced teachers, every activity is thoughtfully designed to support growth in key areas:
Class Options
Scribbles & Bits (1-2 years)
A fun-filled weekly 1-hour session for parents and toddlers, promoting social, language, and motor skills through music, stories, and interactive finger plays.
INTRO Introduction to Preschool (2 YEARS)
INTRO Introduction to Preschool is a gentle and gradual introduction to preschool, offering young children the chance to explore a variety of learning materials and experiences in a relaxed, supportive, small group setting. The focus is on socialization and language development, helping little ones build confidence and connections. Core class time runs from 8:50 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., with an extension to 2:00 p.m. available through enrichment programs. Children who turn 2 years and 3 months later in the winter are welcome to begin in January, with tuition prorated accordingly. Potty training is not required to join.
Threes (3 years)
Our 3s program offers flexible morning options to suit your family’s schedule, with classes running from 8:50 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Choose from 2, 3, 4, or 5 mornings per week in a nurturing, play-based environment focused on building confidence, independence, and early learning skills. Families may also extend the day until 2:00 p.m. through enrichment opportunities.
Pre-K (4 years)
Our Pre-K program is designed to prepare children for kindergarten through engaging, hands-on learning experiences in a nurturing and dynamic environment. Families can choose from a 4-morning schedule or our 5-morning schedule with Creative Drama/Five Senses program on Fridays, from 8:40 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (core curriculum). An extension to 2:00 p.m. is available through enrichments, helping children continue to grow through creative, exploratory learning. These options help children build confidence, develop critical thinking skills, and foster a love of learning.
Enrichment Classes (INTRO & 3’S)
At Scribbles, even our youngest learners can enjoy exciting enrichment opportunities that nurture development, creativity, and a love of learning. Our Intro & 3’s Enrichment Courses are designed to complement the classroom experience with engaging activities that build important skills—all while having fun! Families can extend the school day until 2:00 p.m.with these enrichment opportunities, giving children more time to explore, play, and grow.
Enrichment Classes (Pre-K)
Extend your child’s day with exciting enrichment classes designed to spark curiosity and creativity. Families can extend the school day until 2:00 p.m. through our rotating lineup of activities, including Travelin’ Tumblers (gymnastics), Technology Toolbox (computers), The Jam Cats (music), PESA (sports), Book Nook, Around the World Adventure, and Kids Club—offering fun and meaningful experiences beyond the classroom.
